Lundberg Family Farms is currently seeking a Senior Process & Project Engineers  This positions will provide support for electrical, mechanical, controls, process, and capital activities. They will provide key technical design, analysis, and review functions with an emphasis on integration and optimizing manufacturing and company systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering on assigned capital projects.
  • Providing innovative technical solutions required to meet business objectives with emphasis on productivity.
  • Utilizing Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and support CI and Phase Progression efforts.
  • Offering production support and troubleshooting assistance to Engineers, Team Leaders, and Maintenance.
  • Providing technical and engineering expertise to the various manufacturing departments, including milling, drying, and storage.
  • Development and execution of system productivity improvements and cost savings initiatives that support the business objectives and system specific improvement plans.

Work Environment can include:

Varied  temperatures and high background noise.

Exposure to odors, dust, and mosquitoes.

Traveling by car to manufacturing facilities, vendors, and equipment testing with corresponding work environments.   

Approximately 60% of the day is spent standing and walking around work area.  The remaining time is spent time sitting. 

  • Bachelors or Master’s in:  Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Milling Science, Mechatronics Engineering, or Food Process Engineering
  • 3-5 years of project engineering experience in a continuous food manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience with Capital Projects
  • Experience with continuous improvement, LEAN, Six Sigma, TPM, or related processes
  • Experience coordinating internal and external engineering and construction resources
  • Demonstrated skills in executing several large concurrent assignments
  • Strong ability to involve operators and mechanics in the project process
  • Must have a good understanding of packaging and processing systems and a working knowledge of plant manufacturing, engineering, quality, and research functions
  • Thorough understanding of Food Manufacturing Regulatory Requirements (GMP’s, Food Safety, etc.)


  • 3 or more years of food engineering or food processing related experience in a flour or grain milling environment
