Key Responsibilities

Directs safety program activities for specific area and crew
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications
Be able to verify and correct the setup and adjustment of machinery
Able to work all shifts as required
Interpret company policies and procedures to workers and enforces same
Communicate with other supervisors and management to achieve company standards and production requirements
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency
Initiates or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve company standards and goals
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
Have a working knowledge of all equipment used and activities performed by employee

Requirements 

College degree or prior supervisory experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of wood products manufacturing machine centers
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Good at multi-tasking
Good organizational skills
Must be available for shift work schedules
PC operation (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to coach and lead a diverse workforce
Ability and desire to advance to higher levels of supervision
