Overview

SUMMARY:
Assists Maintenance Supervisor in repairing and keeping district facilities and grounds in neat and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Assists Maintenance Supervisor in repairs and upgrades on equipment and facility.
B. Conducts routine maintenance checks of equipment or systems.
C. Patches and paints walls, ceilings and outbuildings.
D. Waters lawns, shrubs, and trees.
E. Keeps lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds trimmed and neat in appearance.
F. Cleans grounds and removes litter.
G. Shovels or plows snow and spread ice-melt when necessary.
H. Washes and cleans facility vehicles.
I. Performs minor repairs and maintenance on grounds car equipment.
J. Keeps work areas, mechanical rooms and outbuildings clean.
K. Takes on-call when scheduled by Supervisor.
L. Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desirable. Must be 16 years old or older.
