Job Title: Tow Truck Driver / Roadside Assistance Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Tow Truck Driver to provide professional towing and roadside assistance services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating tow equipment, assisting stranded motorists, transporting vehicles, and providing excellent customer service while representing the company in a professional manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to dispatched towing and roadside assistance calls in a timely manner
- Safely operate tow trucks, flatbeds, wheel lifts, and related equipment
- Perform vehicle recoveries, towing, jump starts, lockouts, tire changes, fuel deliveries, and other roadside services
- Secure vehicles properly for transport according to safety procedures
- Assess vehicle situations and determine the appropriate towing method
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, law enforcement, repair facilities, and insurance/motor clubs
- Provide updates to dispatch regarding arrival times, job status, and completion details
- Complete accurate paperwork, digital reports, and service documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tow truck
- Perform routine inspections of towing equipment and report maintenance concerns
- Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and industry regulations
- Provide excellent customer service while assisting customers during stressful situations
- Handle accident scenes and roadside situations professionally and safely
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license (appropriate license requirements based on equipment operated)
- Clean driving record preferred
- Previous towing, roadside assistance, automotive, or transportation experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate towing equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field
- Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift, secure, and handle vehicle-related equipment
- Reliable attendance and flexible availability
Schedule Requirements:
- Must be available for flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Available
Pay: Competitive pay based on experience
