Overview

The Sierra County Department of Transportation is recruiting for a Transportation Planner I, II or III DOQ

Transportation Planner I definition:

Under direction and supervision. Responsible for routine work related to the preparation of Annual Overall Work Program (OWP). Maintains all Sierra County Transportation Commission (SCTC) records and files and maintains accounting records in auditable form.

Transportation Planner II definition:

Under general direction and supervision. Responsible for work related to preparation and administration of the annual Overall Work Program (OWP) including budget, project development and management, unmet transit needs process and transit programs, Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), Regional Transportation Improvement Plan (RTIP). Transportation Planner acts as Executive Secretary to Sierra County Transportation Commission (SCTC).

Transportation Planner III definition:

Under general direction and supervision. Responsible for supervision of the preparation and administration of annual Overall Work Program (OWP) including budget, project planning, development and management, unmet transit needs process and transit programs. Transportation Planner III supervises functions of Executive Secretary to SCTC and work related to County transportation planning.

Special Requirements

Possession of a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record at time of application and maintained throughout employment is a requirement for hiring.

SALARY:

  • Transportation Planner I $4,099.99-$ 4,982.47 per month
  • Transportation Planner II $4,807.58-$ 5,843.65 per month
  • Transportation Planner III $5,211.68- $6,334.83 per month

BENIFITS: Sierra County contributes $1020.00 per month toward employee benefits and participates in the Cal Pers Retirement system.
